It's going to miss us this time, but the wind has come up pretty good. I think I'll stay out of the woods today and just do some splitting and stacking in the yard.

Geez Mitch, ya' gonna' let that little bit slow ya' down?
(says the guy with a Spruce in the driveway that still needs splitting and only a couple inches of snow on it)

please, please, please MISS us!!!

Not sure how but we dodged the bullet this time here in Michigan. Blew up Minni and Chicago then ducked under us to head east. I, for one, am grateful!!

I hear ya, calling for 46 Saturday! Time for me to do some splitting and stacking in my yard :)

They were calling for 6 to 12" here in our neck of the woods, man they botched that forecast (AGAIN)! Got around 3" total, the town 3 miles north of us got NOTHING.....
We were right on the line......
I'm officially ready for SPRING!

It's SW Ohio, everything comes to a screaming halt if someone mentions snow.

I've had to change tactics. Driveway is getting a bit muddy. I can't skid down the road anymore. I'm winching to the edge of the drive and cutting to 8s and 10s. Then carrying with the forks to processing area.

Much slower.. but keeping the logs out of the mud.

Wow that's a load of snow! I'm hoping its all over for us for a season but also dreading the next few muddy weeks....

same here..........but 50's in a couple days
It is weird...is the west coast and your area on identical weather patterns? same here

Didn't miss us. 8-12" of wet heavy stuff that the wind was strong enough to blow it around. So I have everything from bare ground to 24-30" drifts in my yard and driveway. Wife had to take my 150 4x to work this morning and almost could not make it out of the 800' driveway. She was plowing through drifts of snow up to the grill on the truck. Next up 50* and an inch or two of rain Sunday. Yea, I've had enough of this crap this year.<>

Had a new one for me this morning. Sitting here with the stove cranking and my coffee when I hear a loud crash on the roof. I jump up and go what the hell was that. Run outside and look up to see 12-18" long icicles hanging and falling off my chimney cap. Never though that would actually happen with the stove running and it was still 250* this morning when I reloaded.;hm

lol - the forecast was for 13" here in Maryland. The schools were closed and when we went out for ice cream tonight we found that most of the businesses were closed. Not a speck of white on the roads, the parking lots were clean, and we had about an inch on the grass. It is utterly insane how people freak out around here as soon as they see white stuff coming down.

Oh my, if we got 13" of snow I think our suicide rate would go up 10%.

That will defanantly put a damper on processing. I'm glad it went around us here in Michigan.

Missed my shop only couple inches, 16 miles south - at home, 9" in driveway, Milwaukee area

Had to kill a nice straight 18" oak today that got busted up from the 20" of wet concrete snow we got. Looks like that's what y'all got, too.
Oh well, Maitake mushroom plugs just came in the mail, I can start eating the stump in a year or 2. :)
