I bought an old 1850s stone home (1500sqft) on 8 acres with electric heating. That had to be taken care of.

It had a small decorative propane fireplace that ripped through propane and gave off very little heat. It has been replaced by an Osburn Wood stove.

I thought how hard could it be to get my own wood? Well after chainsaws, log splitter and wood chipper, I needed a place to store wood. So my father being a draftsman, drew up some plans and here it is. 16wx10dx9t. Used gravel covered by landscape fabric to prevent dirt getting into the gravel and skids to keep wood up. I have too many other projects i need to do before winter. I will have to hold off on the walls. Left side dry wood, right side.

Felling trees around here is tough because all the trees and tightly packed. Getting hung up a lot and the mosquitos are insane! Sadly, other than about 20 dead elm, the property is mostly pine. Focusing on elm this year and may have to buy wood if I find pine not cutting it (there is an abundance)
Side note: you should re-open the show us your Shed thread. It's nice to see them all in one spot.
