In 2009 we finished building our Log Cabin in Vt and since then have been doing various things to the cabin and property as there are always projects to do. After stacking 2-3 cord unter the deck in front of the walk out basement the past couple winters, I knew this year we needed to build a wood shed.
Luckily, I had a bunch of leftover scrap lumber stacked up, we added a 16' dormer to the cabin mid-build, which meant we cut out the rafters from that section so I ahd plenty of 2x10 sections around in 14' length give or take, plus plenty of 2x6's and random PT 2x4's.
75% of this thing is scrap lumber........
2x10" floor frame with 2x6 joists 14" on center with 2x10 flooring. Only the 4x4 posts, cement and 2 pieces of plywood were purchased and I need some T-111 (3 sheerts) for the back and some lattice for the sides. Should hold about 3 cord when stacked.
A few pics......I framed it to maximize floor space once I ate up space with the 4x4's being lag bolted into the framing.....and one random pic of the view from standing near the shed.......beacuse I had the damn picture....
