Yes they did, and it seems that the offset is too much.

I am going to speak to the dealer tomorrow and get options o]and/or other units that might be more applicable for my situation.

The tech mention Travis industries flush model. Not sure which one he was speaking of? Maybe a Lopi ?

If you can do without a surround there are inserts that have a completely rectangular footprint like the Osburn 2400 that could sit deeper into the fireplace. Would that help?

Maybe, my hearth is roughly 18'' to the fireplace opening and off the floor by 13''.

So It looks like they can do the Summit after all. By using a stainless steel offset.
But, They do not have the series C summit insert like I asked for, they have a series B.
Should that be a big deal???

I have a flush steel insert (Lopi Declaration). I believe the new flush mount (Lopi) is also all steel. With an all steel flush insert, the unit becomes totally dependent upon convection (blowers) to heat. There is next to nadda when it comes to radiating heat.

I'm not sure if it would help in your situation or not, but I know there is someone (Drolet, maybe more?) that make an insert that has the flue collar coming off the top/rear corner at a 45* angle
EDIT: OOPS, I just checked, it's not Drolet, it's Century (I know, both made by SBI) The model is CW2500.

The Avalon Rainier and Hearthstone Clydesdale have the 45 deg option.

The Hearthstone Clydesdale actually comes from the factory with the outlet set at the 45 degree angle out the back. You have to turn it around to have it go straight up. This should be a relatively easy insert to get to fit in your space but there is not going to be much room to work in a 26 inch tall space. The Clydesdale is 23 inches tall. I installed mine last weekend.

Looks very nice. You might consider swapping the pink fibreglass around the flue for some rock wool. Fibreglass and heat didn't go well together for me. Stinks when it gets hot.

Thanks, that's why I posted those pics to get any input. We will see how it goes.
