Gotta love children.

Big one (5) dropped a painted wooden block down the air exchanger (family friendly design). Tried fishing it out with wire and it only dropped down further.

Can't use magnetic tools as it's wood. Any way to get to it?

Thanks in advance.

If you can still reach it with a piece of wire, maybe you can use some double sided tape on the end of a piece of wire?

Piece of hose duct taped to the shop vac?

Or deploy a team of termites...::-):p

My dad recommended the same thing. I have to see if I can locate it with the snake camera and give that a try.

I trust they'd take the toy as payment and leave peacefully after that.
Sometimes these blowers are easy to change out. That would be a last resort.

How long has it been since the blower was cleaned?

Post a picture of where the block fell in please...

Thank you.

Easy. There are two square drive #2 screws that can be removed to remove each fan set.

Once the fans set is removed, you can remove the blower exhaust. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

I once had a pellet stove. My youngest son "hid" his Hot Wheels inside the hopper. That ruined the cars and my auger motor!
