Now is the time to plant some. You may not ever get a chance to harvest them but they are nice trees. I have acorns sprouting all over my lawn and woods. I cannot get rid of them. If you are a hunter plant white oak, the wildlife like them more.
Just go to where you know some large oaks are and pick up some acorns and spread them around.

Oh and Got Wood nice yard and wood piles. I Love the woodlands. My avitar is my kids treehouse in my yard.
 
Nice collection of firewood. You no doubt get great enjoyment just looking at those piles. It represents a lot of work that you have done and also represents a lot of dollars you won't need to spend on heating the home.
