Finally got to cross "build a wood shed" off my to do list. Needed to keep it simple and cheap so i went with pallet floor, picket fence for ends walls and recycled deck boards for the roof frame. I did end up splurging for brown metal roofing panels at menards for $110 so it looked nicer up behind the house. Holds about 4 cords of wood and only 12 steps outside from where stove will be for easy winter access.

kinda debating whether to screw the roof down or just toss some bricks up there to hold it down. Be nice for filling to be able to just slide a few sections of roof aside and out of the way.![[Hearth.com] Woodshed is done [Hearth.com] Woodshed is done](https://www.hearth.com/talk/data/attachments/134/134806-79c8713ac0d079bd8c6973e3040dd123.jpg?hash=EaxbT8dFJS)
and heres my 2015-16 wood drying. Bought a couple metal roof sections for covering that. Im trying to get away from the plastic tarp covering on the right pile there as i hate how water pools in pockets and sits when i use it. My buddy sells garage doors and gets me 10ft long pallets which work good for stacking wood on. Now i just need to cut and fill the rest of it with wood by winter and i should finally be 3 yrs head.![[Hearth.com] Woodshed is done [Hearth.com] Woodshed is done](https://www.hearth.com/talk/data/attachments/134/134807-ba6d7d53b5c8acc57dc75d6b1f795c74.jpg?hash=c-ijPb_tCW)
