Well after owning my Fireview for 9 months, and burning it for 6, I found out that a stove designed to heat 1600 sq ft would have to be pushed more then I wanted to, to heat 2000 sq ft.. So being that I had it for 9 months I decided I would have to sell it to move onto another stove... Well I called Jamie at Woodstock telling him I loved the Fireview but really need the Hybrid in my layout..and I was selling my stove... Well the next thing I know I get an email saying that they would be glad to refund all my money on the Fireview so I could just pay the difference on a Hybrid! This is a company in a league of their own in my eyes.. Just showed me,, that satisfaction guarantee is just not some black ink on some paper... Some very considerate folks at Woodstock.. Here's a perfect example if I had bought from another company I'd be taking a loss on my stove to move on, not realizing until after using the stove that I needed something bigger.. A very safe way to purchase a stove! Thanks again to everyone at Woodstock for making it possible , for me to get another stove. I just wanted to let people see that you truly are the good people we talk about...;)

The more I hear about Woodstock, the more I wish I could fit one of their stoves in my setup. They really are a great company. Too bad they don't make a big front-loader with a top-vent.

The setup I have now will work a few years more, but with two 20 year old stoves, it won't be forever until I'm looking to replace one or both of them.

I'm looking forward to it. I'll be thinking about how nice it's going to be mowing grass for the next 6 months;lol The wife really likes the look of the Hybrid.. She wanted that stove to begin with! Whoops!

Union Hybrid they are working on now, front load and I believe top vent! It's all you;). Suppose to have a descent price tag too..

I do recall that, now. Hopefully they put a prettier face on it!

What's wrong with the industrial "clampy" look?? ;)

Curious, why do you want the front load option? I only ask be cause I thought I would not like the side load on the PH so much, but I have to say I rally can't imaging having a front load now. My brother has a front load and after looking at it closely, it seems so much more difficult to load up good especially when hot, from the front. The side load with "deep dish" just seems the way to go. But would like you thoughts....

dd...dden said it. Check out my avatar. No way to side load that beast.

That's great. I asked about doing the same thing when my Fireview was 3 years old and they said no. 9 months is great. 3 years is too much to ask. Wood stock is a great company to deal with every good thing that you hear or read about them true.

I contacted Woodstock and told them that Charlie doesn't need the cook top option. ;lol

Believe me, I am very appreciative for what they did for me... The gentlemen who wanted to buy my stove originally is having Woodstock put his name on my Fireview as he knows I didn't over fire my stove or just slam the wood in against the stones loading it.. It was well taking care of.. So they're already getting a stove back that is spoken for... hoping that's in some way giving back to them for what they did for me.

It is rare that you don't hear even one dissenting vote for any given company. Woodstock is this rarity. Mad props for going that extra mile.

And I am anxiously awaiting the final version of the new Union stove.

that is certainly rare these days...

I'm pleased as punch to see the new PH passing the muster. Hope they are making money. We need good companies like Woodstock to survive and thrive.

That's exactly how I felt when they offered to take my stove back.. I told Jamie I wasn't the type of person to take advantage of them,,, I'd rather see them in business and keep building great stoves with superb parts prices and customer service.. He said not at all realizing I didn't get the stove up and running until November... Yup ,I try to support them all I can... truth of the matter,,, you'll probably never see another stove company around like them again if they ever dissolved the business.. Amazing in this day in age that they exist being such a small company and hand building each stove..Plus I think their prices are fair for what you are getting,, plus look at all the sales they have as well to give people the opportunity to buy one of their stoves...like we all know,,, your never out a dime if things don't work out...A company I won't soon forget..

With salesmen like rideau and Dennis... how could they not? ;lol

Be careful no Joful. Rideau is built a bit different than we are. ;) I think that is why some say sales people?!

I just put a deposit on Charlie's stove. Jaime told me he didn't think they had anymore refurbs in the pipeline, or my buddy would have bought one too.

So, sometime this off-season there are going be lot's of pics documenting all of the new WS installs. My 79 Garrison One (smoke dragon) is already spoken for as well, by a good friend that could use a bigger firebox than what he has up in the Monadnock Region just north of me.

Congratulations Oldhippie. We'll await the pictures.

Do you plan on going to the factory to pick up the stove? If so, will you be using the bike and a trailer for hauling it? ;lol
