Question:

Hello, I have my woodworking shop in a garage (about 250 square feet). I would like to install a woodburning stove so I can keep the shop warm and dry in the winter by burning wood scraps. I located someone who has 2 stoves for sale, both about 15 years old, each for $200. One is a VC Intrepid, the other a Petit Godin. Any advice on which is a better buy for this use?

Answer:

I think the Intrepid would be better since it's designed for just wood, where the Godin is better for coal.
