Hauled another leaner out,too tight for trailer had to bungee the rounds out on the atv, check out some of the monster cherrys in this place some are 5 feet at base and 80 feet tall, they will never be cut as the owner was insulted once when he had a timber company try and lowball him on their worth.Anything on ground is fair game.

5' around the base or across?

That is some big cherry!

As for the trailer, if I can get the atv in I can usually also get the trailer in. Sometimes it is so tight that I might have to turn the trailer around by hand but then rehook, load and off we go!

Amen Backwoods have done the same thing before but it was bright and sunny today so I had time to kill and that's what I did about 6 to 10 rounds per trip made short work of that tree.

Nice pics of a great day in the woods .
Lots on the ground, should keep you happy & busy for a while :)

5' cherry gonna make a big stack of fire wood some day. Looks to be loosing some bark.

So they let them fall over that's smart. There is more than one timber company around. Most landowners think their timber is worth more than it is anyway!!

OLA, that grove of cherries could get a man through winter if it wasn't a cold one. Show us the stack when you get it put up.l
What are you burning a blast furnace? That grove would take me into the next life easily, stop by sometime I'll prove it to ya.PS that grove encompasses 27 acres theres a cherry there in background whose base is 7 feet across about 5 trees in one stump, not to mention a chitload of white oak and hickory, beech and walnut, won't ever be cut.

Nice looking rounds. Looks like with the weather we have or is coming we will keep burning the Cherry.

Love the way that Cherry burns! I'll sometimes toss in a few splits on the front/top of some longer-burning fuel. The Cherry will keep floating flames in the stove for a couple of hours...great when you need some serious output to recover the room temp.
And yeah, that is some huge Cherry right there! _g

For sure!

Diameter of a tree is measured at dbh(diameter basal height) about 4.5-5' above ground. These cherry look no where near 5' in diameter, circumfrence yeah diameter no.

I almost would call them twigs
You doubting Thomas's can call or say whatever them cherrys is huge, the 2 in the backgrounds trunk is 0ver 5 feet at the base,if them is twigs that's wonderful cuz I'm cuttin the weeds that keep fallin from those twigs.
