Worm things in wood

What the heck are these little worm things I keep finding? A could splits were full of them .in what I thought was ant holes. How do I get them gone

Split all your wood, stack it, once the wood dries out all bugs will leave.

I think, after he loads it in the truck, it would make more sense to bring it by me. I'm closer and he doesn't have to cross the border...

No. Pretty well every hickory I ever split here has some of them to an extent. Just stack it up and forget about em.
