Not sure if it's an insert, but it's beautiful... Wonder who makes it?

Looks similar to the Fireplace xtrodinaire by Travis Industries. I know they make both inserts and fireplaces.

Looks like a Napoleon NZ6000 fireplace. This is not an insert, it's a full fireplace system. If you like this flush look, take a gander at the Lopi Declaration series of inserts.

It's not a box in a firebox. It's an independent, zero-clearance fireplace. An insert is installed in an existing fireplace. Some inserts can be installed in zero-clearance fireplaces with a liner. But you can never install a ZC fireplace system, in an insert or an existing fireplace.

Read the fireplace article in the link provided. If you want to install the Napoleon NZ6000 don't repair anything. It IS the fireplace. Like the song goes... Bring dynamite and a crane, blow it up and start all over again.

Hope I'm bugging you too much, but we're have a masonry fire place & chimney. We're having the old Heatform removed and rebuilding the firebox & smoke chamber. If we've got the room, can a Napoleon 6000 be figured into our situation?

We did install this fireplace in a new construction and it is great. Fairly simple to install but it takes a big hole. it is not zero clearance btw, it has a 6" to combustible install spec (sides & top only, back can be zero clearance)
