if you are talking about the ebt disc they do not work that way.
 
I am talking about the ebt flapper and bi-metal spring. I will post a photo so all will see this gem. Tim
 
Yep I have a summit and it does not work the way you described, I can find a link for you if you would like.
 
I watched the link and that is how mime works, now. I guess I did not explain it right. When the bi-metal coil is cold, flapper should be closed, mine was stuck open all the time.
 
Before inventing a better mouse trap, why not run it as it is made, and see how it works or you. You can always change things later if you wish.
 
gonna run as designed except not pop rivet it in, just bolt it in.
