On vacation at the moment on the coast of SC. Perfect. 75F and sun.

On the way home, I'm picking up the vintage (read, the "good old Vermont Casting) VC Intrepid that I scored on eBay. It's near new, has all manuals and accessories, and is a late 80's non-catalyst model. It'll be a nice addition to my vintage Resolute.

We'll be putting it in our VW Westy and heading home to the mountains of NC. It should be interesting to say the least.

Plans are to spend the summer sorting it out, making a safe chimney, and firing it sometime in the fall.

Good deal. Don't rub it in about the sunshine. We're sunny too... and 38 degrees. :(

Take some shots of the stove in it's new home!

Look for pre-pick up, loading, and mission completed photos to come soon.

Think I'll pull on the wet suit and surf for a while. Paid $50 for a 4 day rental of a brand new board.

Spent this morning touring a historic mansion on the coast and visiting a stunning garden, Brookgreen Gardens.

I think my priorities are right though; I've been thinking a lot about picking up the stove and how I'm going to put it in my garage.

Time for another beer, then the beach.
