I'm just getting the hang of it. It's only my first year.Alright then NY
Keep hard on that pile now so its ready
It sure will. Also some evergreen to the rightLooking good ny.... Your getting there! That will be good heat when its ready. its warming you when you split it, and then it will warm you when you burn it!
I'm not sure as its my first year burning. I should have at least 7 or 8 cords split and stacked by spring time.Looking good
How much will you need for next years supply?
Yes sir with some evergreen to the rightIs that mulberry with the dark heartwood?
Getting ahead is the hardest part . Staying ahead is comparatively easy . You're doing well , keep it up !Split and stacked 2 rows so far
Thanks. It would be so much easier but the kids always come first. I,m teaching my little one how to stack the wood and once all 3 get bigger my stacks will last me for years...Getting ahead is the hardest part . Staying ahead is comparatively easy . You're doing well , keep it up !
Thanks. It sure is worth it especially when the boiler is not on and you have no oil billLooks good! A lot of work to get ahead but it's worth it!
Nothing like slave laborThanks. It would be so much easier but the kids always come first. I,m teaching my little one how to stack the wood and once all 3 get bigger my stacks will last me for years...

Thanks to you guys. I've learned quite a bit and I'm still learning more each day I come to this forumAnd you are doing really good for your first year. Just think what this will be in a couple more years!
And gets more valuable as it ages
I'm trying to do the same as you. I'll have a few extra cords once my neighbor takes down his 3 maple treesMy first year of heating with wood I spent the winter cutting and using the dead and driest wood for the present year and everything else I put aside for the following,by the end of the season I was a year ahead. It was a lot of work but was worth the effort, now I have wood for several years and it doesn't seem as bothersome to process wood if I tackle a little at a time.
Family always comes first . Enjoy this time that you get to spend with them , it goes faster than you might think .Thanks. It would be so much easier but the kids always come first. I,m teaching my little one how to stack the wood and once all 3 get bigger my stacks will last me for years...
