Back up parts

hey guys and gals. I have an accentra 52i,I have had a very good experince with it so far. But since it's 4 years old now I would like to get some back ups just in case especially the combustion blower.I do have a dealer bought spare igniter but my problem is my dealer went out of business recently after 40 years so I'm left looking for correct parts and to purchase from where blues so any info is much appreciated.

With a Harman, I would just keep a igniter on hand. You can have a comb. blower and fan in the a couple of days. They are very durable. They give you warning typically when they are getting bad. If you decide to stock a motor get the fan blade also. It is common to damage the fan getting motor apart and set screw is typically seized. Earth sense energy is a good supplier

Checked out earth sense for combustion blower, the OEM is $100 and after market is$57 I'm assuming to stay away from after market?

You might check your door gasket. If it’s getting pretty frayed it wouldn’t hurt to have one on hand. I’d wait to buy the glue for it though cause it doesn’t age well. I use Rutland gasket cement.

Thanks for all the help guys I'll be hitting u guys up as parts are needed then. Over I put a new graphite door gasket in before heating season started this year so I'm good on that.

Oh how about the glass gasket how often should I change it? I can't visually see any issues with it at this time but is there a rule of thumb to change it?

If you break the glass then replace it when you replace the glass. Otherwise there’s almost no wear and tear on it so leave it alone.

Harman stoves seem to be gentle on gaskets. I have been servicing Harman for 12 yrs and have only replaced a hand full of door gaskets. Usually it was on the Advanced or a Accentra freestanding. Accentra insert and p-series seem to last a long time. Your gaskets never just "goes out". It gives you plenty of time to allocate when you need one

Have you noticed that the 52is seem to fray pretty bad on the hinge side after only a couple years? That’s usually the only Harman that I end up having to replace the door gasket on cause they start pulling air in there and taking longer to light.

What's up? Long time no see. LOL! Spare parts are nice to have. I usually keep igniters and ESP's. Haven't needed any yet but.....

We dont have a bunch of 52i's out there. But I will keep an eye on those. We installed a ton of original Accentras back in the day when oil prices were thru the roof. For the past several years it seems like the few stoves we sell are more for luxury. But the hundreds of Harmans we installed since 2005 keeps us busy with cleanings and service. I love servicing Harmans! Thanks for the tip.

The oem gasket didn't seem to last very long this graphite impregnated gasket seems a lot more durable than oem we shall see.

your lucky I guess. I think th accentra Insert burns cleaner than the 52i. More dry ash and less tar. Although both burn clean if maintained and kept clean and dry in the summer. We have a ton of humidity in the summer so the stov s that sit full of ash all summer are full of tar by the fall when they have us clean them. The ones I clean in the spring aren’t bad and I have them put a box of baking soda in it when I’m done to keep it dry.

I think the biggest thing in our area that slows pellet stove sales is delivery and price of pellets.lots of places that sell pellets here don't deliver.

I’m in the Midwest where pretty much everybody has a pickup to haul pellets with. That said, almost everyone here who sells pellets delivers.
