Harmon P61A. Fired up this last week and working great. Turned it off last night by putting switch to auto and turning temp down. Went out fine.

This morning sitting here in the dead quiet and the stove is buzzing. Short bursts of a buzzing sound, not in a regular pattern.

Only light on is power.
Temp at 65
Ignitor on manual
Room temp/stove temp off

FYI, the auto start does not work. I just manual start but have to use auto to turn it off (or I think I do)

Why is it buzzing?

Dumb question, but did you try unplugging the stove to see if it stops the noise?
That is a great question - no sense in going any further with guess work until that is answered.

Unplugging it did stop the noise. Thanks for the bee suggestion but not that. The buzz is definitely electrical in nature.

After I plugged it back in, the sound did not occur.

So, no worries unless it starts up again with the noise.

Thanks

It might be the transformer on/near the control board.
