So I purchased 2 used ceramic coated kettles and have had issues with both and sent them back. The first one had a pin hole at the bottom and the 2nd had what looked like a patch on the inside over a crack. The patch held but began to somehow pull through the crack over a few weeks. Is this a normal issue with kettles or maybe the ceramic expensive ones are more prone to cracking?

The ceramic ones I have seen are $70-80. Plain cast 30-50ish. Is it worth the extra money for the ceramic coating? Does the cast rust super fast?

I have a steamer pot porcelain coated cast iron as well as a teapot porcelain coated had them for years have never had a problem. I can't comment on non porcelain coated as this is all I have

Whatever we use, it's on a Divet. We were using the Kettle, until it started boiling over out of the spout and on top of the stove, now we use a Steamer....again, on a Divet
