More heavy rain has hit this area, it has cooled off pretty good.

The weather guessers think there’s a real good chance of rain on Tuesday and Thursday.

I’m really hoping we get some sun in between the rain drops. The gardens need it!

From what I've read this morning, just under 0.75 of an inch of rain with 30 mph wind gust. That could change tomorrow if we get some warnings.

I did see NYS checking some culverts on a State Route, they were in some problem areas from some previous storms so I'm thinking they were making sure they weren't plugged.

I’m at a wrestling tournament in Indianapolis at the moment. There was a tornado watch and they threw all the kids and supporting adults out of the building and into the storm.

I’m sure they thought, if they’re not in the building and a tornado hits we won’t get sued! Well, throw 3 teams of high school girls from 50 states out into that weather and have everybody sitting in vehicles in your parking lot when the tornado hits. They’re still going to get sued, lol. Luckily the storm passed with nothing but rain, lightning, and wind.

Well, that is just plain crazy, unless the building is nothing but glass. I would think the shower rooms would be safer and at least hold the teams. Their parents and supporters might not fit down in there,

Only speculation on their thinking on my part. It was a watch, not a warning. There wasn’t a tornado in the area, just a strong T storm and a possibility.

It was tough. Everybody was gearing up for weigh in. Dry singlets, dry hair, etc. I know a lot of girls were close. Heck, the 2 I drove had small dinners the night before and luckily slept most of the drive out so they wouldn’t think about food. The rain might have been the deciding factor for some. Wet hair and clothes could be the difference. We had to move some girls around to make weight classes, but they’re all wrestling today. I saw some tears coming from weigh ins on other teams. That breaks my heart. They couldn’t give a lb of weight allowance after they forced everyone out into a monsoon? I can say it’s a good thing the ones who made it had a night to rehydrate and eat.

I'm glad everyone is safe.

This is happening in the Rochester area today, the gauge went from just under four feet to almost 10. Nothing for storms or rain up here yet.

It looks like they got nailed with rain yesterday in that area.
