It’s still to early know what will happen. I don’t think it even as a closed circulation yet. This is first season I have seen artificial intelligence models, like googles being used and discussed. Given this is a two or three body problem uncertainty is going to be very high. We’re just gonna hang out and wait for tonight‘s 8 PM update and tomorrow’s 5 AM.

Yes, I double checked and it appears it might head north. Like you said we need to be watching on the weekend. They do expect it do go CAT 4.

Nothing I have seen is above cat 1 when it’s near the coast. Models shifting to an earlier eastward turn. The slower it moves the more likely this is. There still is not a closed circulation

Great - Maybe I was looking at predictions of it turning into a 4. I hope it does turn north and head towards the UK.

Just saw a news CNN on my phone. Rare Cat 5. Does look like it will head north east, and not hit eastern coast

Not much going on here for severe weather, we do need more rain. Accu has our high temp for tomorrow at 85 and 82 on Monday.

Nothing severe tomorrow except for some heavy rains, Accu is calling for 1.5 inches of rain the last I looked which we need real bad.

We didn't get close to the rain Accu predicted but we did have a nice soft rain from just past noon till after supper, hopefully we get more overnight.

We must have broken records here over the last couple of days. Very warm like July. Went to the beach the other day as the wind was low. It looks like tomorrow it changes, and cool wet weather comes. I mowed the lawn today, but really I was mulching leaves too. Could be the end of summer??

We finally have some rain moving in tomorrow night for about 3 or 4 days. We should get from 1.65 to 2 inches of rain, that will help out the wells.

The rain is needed, but theyy are promising strong winds with one of the systems. That's not good because most of the trees still have their leaves. I expect there will be power outages in some areas.

I can remember the rainy times from my Vancouver days. Yes, many trees could come down. Here we still have not had a frost, we got our rain ect, the leaves are falling good now. Some trees have none. Hitting mid 10's C here lately. Went to the beach and it was very quiet the other day. Not sure when the chilly weather will start this year.

It's raining here and more coming. We could still use the rain to build up the water table. If you put water into a well would it not just disappear into the earth?

We were lucky, the power only went out for a couple seconds. Others did not fair as well. The outages were 250K after the storms. There is a lot of cleanup work and still some areas without power. We lost an elm limb and have lots of fir branches to clean up but that is minor compared to others. Our bean trellis looks like someone sat on it. It still was full of plants that acted like a sail in the gusts.

I hate to complain about lack of rain, or too much rain, as either one is an issue, and once you are in one situation you seem to forget about the other. Too much wind is bad regardless, but a nice cool breeze is good in the summer. I'm glad that CAT 4/5 hurricane that is hitting the islands right now is not coming my way.

The really severe weather now is hitting Jamaica and Haiti. Hurricane Melissa is a powerful cat 5 storm. This is likely to be the strongest storm to have ever hit the island. The strongest wind gust ever recorded in a hurricane was recorded by a specialist aircraft in Melissa at 241mph!

Winter has arrived. We got some snow the other day, and it all froze up because it was too wet and windy to snowblow. Then it was too
heavy to shovel. Then I drove over it. Then it got cold and froze overnight. Then I had only today to try and clear it before the next ice age
comes tonight. Thank goodness my neighbor brought over his ice scraper. This is the forecast for tomorrow which starts overnight:

I have the pellet stove going, and my house vent fan going, and it's going all night in room mode set at about 70F in the basement.
Turning down the heat pumps, and will use my electric convect heaters. Brrrrrrrrrrrr

Yes -12C. I guess it's the wind chill that would make it unpleasant. I have a 1500W 240V heater beside my bed. Of course when you have high wind you have power outages Pellet stove will keep running though.
