I am starting to use ibc cages to save on handling. My FEL with forks does great with full containers until I put locust or oak in them. I am wondering if anyone knows of a set of 3 point pallet fork that will hook up to a quick hitch?

My thoughts would be to look at the sale bills for local farm auctions. My dad used to have a set of them but I can’t tell you what the brand was. Apparently not many folks use these or are familiar with them. I will check to see if he recalls the brand.

I bought a forklift setup for my tractor . At first I was looking for just forks to lift with the 3 pt but found a full forklift mast that will lift up to 4200 lbs , 21 ft with front to back tilt but no side shift. It was from a forklift that was scrapped and the builder welded on the 3 pt attachments , hydraulic hoses, plugs into my rear remote . I thought I had a picture ,but can't find it . It cost me $800 , don't know how I was able to get anything done with out it . Here is a youtube video showing the same type of forklift.

Depending on how high you are wanting to lift the cages, a large bale stabber/fork might work. We used to use one for that. The lift I was referring to earlier hooked to the 3 point but also had a long hydraulic cylinder so you could unload pallets from a flatbed or van trailer, we used it to unload seed before we got a front end loader. Ours wasn’t quite as sturdy as the one posted above but the same concept.

I think the quick hitch is the part that's unknown, from what ive read there different designs and measurements, I think you have to measure and look at everything or look at one of tractor forums for the brand you have and what you want

Ya I think your right. Nobody local has them in stock and the measurements they offer are always about the forks not the hitch parts other that what category the pins are. I was hoping I'd find somebody that had already been down this road. My quick hitch has me spoiled. Thanks

There are different categories of Quick Hitches. Cat. 1,2 & 3. Certain horsepower tractors fit in each category, with Cat. 1 the lowest up to Cat. 3.
