The home depot in Bangor, ME has 75 tons of fireside ultra pellets for $299 a ton stacked in front of the store.

Just an FYI for anyone interested - never burned them, so I dunno how those are.

please let us know when they start to lower the price.

Glad to see they are getting a lot of them in, with such quantities maybe they will start to lower prices. I still need 2 more tons, but I won't be buying them for $300 a ton unless I completely run out and oil stays higher than the cost of pellets.

i also would like to know if they sell them with oil being low price

I saw them, price too high, I can wait. They will have to dump them come spring.

I burned fireside ultras last winter and they were awesome. But I agree with the others....wait wait wait...prices will plummet.

I just paid $350 Can for a ton of the Maine (Green Heat Pellets) here in New Brunswick ,guy looked kinda pissed when i walked in and asked if this is where they were scalping Pellets, lol.Took a min to sink in, then he gave me a dirty look, hahah. But i bought them anyways..

All the Home Depot in this area, N/E Ohio and on the PA side have been selling pellets at $6 a bag since mid summer and still have that same price. They do not get pellets that much but when they do they sell out fast. Maybe I should get rid of the warehouse and stack my pellets outside and charge more. Just got a truck in today and they went right into the warehouse without a drop of water hitting them. Should break the 2,000 ton mark for this year real soon.

I bought a couple bags of these Fireside Ultras at HD to try. I burned on bag and that bag was the hottest best burning bag of pellets I have used yet. I do worry about them being stored outside though. I knwo they are shrinkwrapped, but condensation will still soak them. We have had 50 degree temp swings around here in the last week. I agree $300 a ton is pricey, but i doubt I will buy them on clearance in the spring after they have been outside all winter.

Saltair , you, I , and a bunch of other people won't buy them . But I'm sure next fall there will be alot of new pellet piggies out there , telling us how much they got their pellets for.

But how wet will they be by then?

Not sure, but the manufacturer stores them outdoors. Just go to the Energex site, white pallets all around the plant.
