Hello everyone...I've been a reader up until now. I wanted to know if anyone has added firebricks to older model woodstoves that didn't originally come with them. I have this Long 1662 in my uninsulated barn and it does well to heat when its rolling and the fan is blowing. I know insulating the barn will go a long way to increasing heat retention but insulation is crazy expensive right now. Would this help to retain heat longer in the stove or make it less efficient than it already is? thanks in advance

The firebricks may help keep the firebox hotter if there is a baffle above them.
