So I am in the middle of a remodel, with new flooring, figured i would also build a nice hearth platform, doing this will change the elevation of the stove vent. Does anyone use one of these and if so, have there been any leaks or any other issues?

I have one in my install. Works fine for the past 5 years; just extra joints to tape. Probably would leak smoke like a sieve with out the tape.

I used Excel pellet vent and when I gave the stove shop my length they included a 16" adjustable, that would have slid waaaay in. I lifted the stove up an inch and used a 6" adjustable, giving me the slip to adjust to remove. No tape needed, seems fine but then again this is my first season.

Cheers,
- Jeff
