Hello, I'm new here, and also new to the whole pellet stove experience. I came across this forum when trying, unsuccessfully, to find instructions online for my pellet stove.
We moved into a country property recently, and in the kitchen there is a Pel-Tech Pro-Warmer pellet stove. We have no instructions for it, but in the box the previous owners left us, we discovered a service handbook for the stove, which is how we know what it is. Additionally, someone has written "St Croix" inside it, which we have been told is a reference to another make of stove which is similar to ours.
My question is, does anyone know how this thing works? We've plugged it in and the fan runs, we've had the chimney checked by an expert (who had never seen or heard of this brand of stove), we've cleaned the fireplace around and behind it, we've bought a new bag of pellets and some fire-lighting gel, and we're ready to go and know in principle how it works, but we are just a little reluctant to fire it up without really knowing what we're doing.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this stove, or advice for us? Thank you.
