When the fire is going good in my wood eater, I can hear a dull whooshing sound. I haven't been able to figure out where it is coming from. Is it just the air going into the primary or secondary openings?
The narrow opening of the air control on our stove is just like a big whistle. You can hear the air rushing when it is all the way against the stop. It's not loud, but always there for a little while when the stove is first turned down and the fire is strong.
Thought so. thanks guys. Thinking about putting a magnet over a portion of the secondary opening to better control the fire. It can get going fatter than I would like. Always under 900 on the probe thermometer. But if rather stay around 650 and when I load the stove up with more than two splits, temps can run up real fast.
