Hi Hearth Community,

I come to you in desperate need for help :)

By accident, one of the contractors laborers removed the refractory boards inside the wood burning fireplace (model 3620). I am super frustrated and don't know what to do. Based on my research, and calling a few stores Selkirk no longer sells replacement refractory boards.

From my understanding, replacing the refractory boards with firebrick is not acceptable (does that sound right?) and I've been told

1. Get ready to replace the firebox and chimney

2. Source universal refractory boards to be cut
3. Go dumpster diving to see if I can pull a replacement
Option 2 sounds the most reasonable, but I'd appreciate direction from someone who has lived through this before. Happy to buy someone a Starbucks coffee if they're able to point me in the right direction.

Appreciate the help,

FP
