I did seal the vent off with a plastic bag to keep the moisture out, but there it sits.

dirty, full of ash waiting for me to clean it out and remove fans, and fix the bricks and clean the vent and put damp rid in.

I can see it all now, on the very first day of heating season there will be a rash of "Why is my stove not lighting?" or "Why do I have a lazy flame?" questions all traceable to folks not having cleaned their stove.

I did the deep clean Memorial Day weekend. Still haven't put it all back together yet. Have to order a couple parts (burn pot related) before it goes back together. I need to get off my rear and order them. I've been too swamped with yard work and 'work work' to give it much thought.

I'm hoping I have 3 months before I need to think about heating the house.

Did a full clean right before my burn season ended (it was overdue)....now I'm being lazy, I'll do another full clean eventually....

Summer seems to finally be here. So its on the do list for this weekend!

I finally go up on the roof and took down the Christmas lights and figured while there clean the chimney! LOL That was last weekend. I am going to do the stove this weekend. I am with some of the others.....I ran it earlier this month.....I think I put 2 bags in for June! OUCH......gotta replace the stash, now 2 bags less then 2 ton with another ton to be picked up soon! Always keep 3 ton now.

Haven't finished ours either. Chimney is swept but the box is still a mess. We burned in the evenings last week - last fire on the 23rd.

Just got done with the teardown cleanup mode! Fines box after 2 ton surprisingly not very full at all......now hammock time in the backyard! Also went on a little motorcycle ride before work started on the stove.....ahhhhhhh!
