Next to the DF Okies, these were the most talked about pellet last season. I have heard very little of them this season. Is anyone burning them? Burning well? I'm planning on purchasing another ton soon and I have always wanted to try these.

Same here, couldn't find any this year. Last year they were all over mass. I liked these a lot they burnt hot and clean

Picked some up in fall, burn comparable to platinum pellets from what I remember. I can see if they are still available local and grab some more to test out if it helps.
Picked some up at a local Lowes store having no clue about these pellets. They were $269/ton this past fall and I didn't notice they were "super premium". But I can tell you these pellets have been great. VERY low ash compared to anything I have burned. Before this I would have said Hamer was the best pellet I have burned. But now without a doubt these have been the best pellets although I never burned anything but box store pellets. Local stores have lowered prices to $199/ton but I haven't bought any pellets since I loaded up before winter.

I'm picking up a ton of the AWF White pine tomorrow morning, unless I can convince them to sell a ton of the Okie DFs fire the same price. Haha

I am new to the pellet stoves. This is my 2nd season of burning and tryed all types of pellet I can find AWF white pine are very good and burn clean for me at least

I've liked the Okies so far, but I have to say that the ton of Barefoot have been the best pellet I've burned this year.
I have been burning Lignetics primarily for the last two seasons. They are extremely consistent, low ash and hot, but sometimes you get the bug to burn something new. Haha. I have yet to burn Barefoots, but have always heard good things.

heard that to about the soot but didn't have that issue with them last year. I also heard about heavy soot from vt pellets but haven't tried them. Okie platinums burnt great, I tried a few bags similar to the Blazers I have now.

One problem mentioned with Okie Platinums is the long length of pellets. Have a friend who got one caught in the slider and it burned out his auger motor. He has a Harman Insert. I didn't think that could happen but it did in his case. I also read a post a while back where guys were dropping bags onto a cement floor to break up the pellets some.

I like Barefoot a lot, and I'm burning them this year but burned a ton of the AWF last year and they were better. If the supplier that carries AWF wouId deliver I would have stocked them this year for the season. Very happy with Barefoot.
The platinums I have are some of the shortest pellets I have burned. Most are under 1/4" long. Besides, Whitfields are not picky about pellet length at all.
