Quick face cord of year old maple. Any takers on bets whether this will be any good to burn this year? I'm curious because it's been down and dead for over a year but still as a whole trunk. When cut into rounds it seemed pretty wet, bit within 4 days the ends are checked and it's lightening up in weight a fair amount. I purposely split it small. 00c9386b70775b0bbb1c6b06ec497b08.jpg

I'll bet you can burn it near the end of the winter if you need to.

Nice job!!! I'd buy a moisture meter and re-split a few come November and see how its doing. Wood seems to dry out fast at first then it hits a slow period, but hopefully that's not the case with that stack.
