Had some good temps in Michigan for cutting. 65 degrees. Took advantage of the temps and went out after work. Dropped some standing dead barkless elm. I hate splitting it, but worth the btu's and short seasoning time! (broken image removed)
I grabbed a down Red today, about that size, but I don't think it's quite that dry. It was losing its color toward the bottom of the trunk but there should still be some decent heat in those. The rest was still in real good shape.
