I think we can all agree that the main ingredient of the anti creasote powders is Tri Sodium Phosphate.
Does anyone think that if I took some really dry red oak and soaked it in a strong solution of water and TSP ...let the wood dry and next year burned a few each week that it would keep the creosote from forming in the wood stove pipes?

Any and all responces are welcome,
Mike

I don't know about creasote decreasers but in my opinion the best ones are to
not smolder your fire and use dry wood.

Why not just buy a tub of the granular form of creosote remover ($6-$7) and use it as directed? A couple of tablespoons 1X week. Burning your EPA stove smartly/correctly you have minimum creosote.

That's the real answer to creosote concerns, "burn your EPA stove correctly". Obviously you have to get one that works well; so do the research first and make sure you have a unit that moves into the secondary burn quickly and holds it easily.
