Hey guys...

As colder weather is starting to set in... I'm looking for options on a cycle timer to integrate into my furnace blower.

The main portion of my house is a newer single wide manufactured home with a 900sq. ft. stick built addition. All the main plumbing is in the manufactured portion running along side the duct work. To keep pipes from freezing, I was planning on just running the furnace blower while I'm at work and at night... however based on what I'm reading, not only is it not good for the fan, but it'll avg. $35-$40 a month just to run the fan around the clock.

I started looking for options to wire inline with the blower to cycle the blower on for an hour or so... then off for 2hrs or so. Found this..

Anyone using one?

NVM... apparently I need to learn how to use the search feature. Lol.

I got one ordered and used the hearth.com discount.

Indeed they are good.

You don't have to run the blower around the clock.

Mine runs for a 5 minute period every 30 minutes.

Seems to do the trick.
