Hello all, I need to replace the refractory baffle in my VC Aspen C3 woodstove. Can anyone explain the replacment process? Also do I need to replace the the superwool blanket?

Any recommendations of which one to buy? I see one on Amazon from Lynn Manufactoring or a OEM product. I was thinking of adding a metal plate under the board to pervent it from breaking again. I am not sure if this will be OK or if it effect how the woodstove operates.

If trying out a metal plate, use stainless, but be careful. If it warps and lifts the baffle board, it may cut off the free flow of exhaust gases eventually.
