the 3.58 inches of rain last night. You can see in pic 5936 what the brook was like before the rain, hardly any movement.

shadow&flame, they are saying another 1.7 inches of rain on the way which is a good thing. When I took a ride through the woods last night, the trails are still bone dry except for one low area.
Scotty Overkill, seems like this summer the big storms or rain have missed us so this was welcomed. I'm thinking this winter we will get pounded with snow.
In the first pic, if you walked out of the bottom right of the picture it dropped into a nice fishing/swimming hole of 3.5 feet.

I sure hope we dont get enough snow to get everyone caught up on the rain we missed...it would be snowmageddon...
As long as it doesn't all come in one or two or three storms I could live with that!
Now remember we dont have the equipment to deal with all that snow down here...ha But I do like a good snowfall....
True . . . my Dad used to tell stories about how in Basic Training in Georgia back in the late 60s there was a snow storm and they pressed any of the northern Yankees who could run a plow or grader into service plowing the roads.
I'll find out this weekend, the one steep hill we went up has been left alone since spring, the trail going to up top should be okay other then the damage that was done by running up and down.Zap, I'm wondering how the trails are on the hills after that much rain? Especially that one steep one.
