I called this guy out of curiosity: (broken link removed to http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/grd/3923979056.html)

You can't read the label in the pictures, but it's a CS2186. He told me he's asking $400 OBO. I don't know whether that's a good deal or not; regardless, I don't think I have a purpose for 86 CCs' worth of saw.

same saw as the 385XP

That's what I've been reading. I guess the question is, how often do you want a 6.3HP saw badly enough to be willing to carry it around?

Quite often actually, more than I did before 1992 without a doubt.

Carry it around with pickup truck. Pull it out, cut wood, and smile real big!

If I didn't already have a Makita 7901, I'd take a good look at it.

...and what do you mean by "I don't think I have a purpose for 86 CC's worth of saw?" I see big trees in Schenley Park all the time. :)

;lol
I'll bring the Iron city...let's do this.
