Want to make sure this is where it’s supposed to be at room temp 63 degrees. Seems it was way in the active area for long periods of time. Just use to the old one. Thanks.

When totally cold it's supposed to be a little higher, right at that first tick mark and/or the bottom of the inactive range. There is some risk with adjustment and you could just remember to wait until it's almost to the active line to engage.
