Newbie here, I found a Vermont Castings Windsor WR2500X02 Wood Fireplace Insert for sale near me and I’m wondering if anyone knows this unit and had pros or cons? I know it’s just continued and it’s a non-catalytic unit which you want because we’re just trying out a wood insert and want to see how often we actually would use it. It seems like it’s in good condition and is under $700. We have a brick open fireplace and an 1060 sq foot 1925 bungalow. I’m including a picture of the fireplace and we will be removing the mantle for a more period appropriate one and adding bricks as needed by code. Any input is helpful. Thanks!
