Blaze King Updated Versions ? (Ashford 30.1, Chinook 30.1, etc.)

Was just at the Blaze King site and noticed that many of their stoves now have a "xx.1" listed after the usual numerical portion of the name. Were there any real changes to the stoves? I can't find anything that indicates why the "version" change. (Then again, maybe the version number was there all along and I missed it on past visits.)

I know manufacturers were making suttle changes in order to retest for the EPA, doing so bought 5 more years before they would have to comply with the new outrageous requirements. This could be the case here.
I don't remember what the changes were other than an updated door latch mount and now the ash plug is 2x the size. The old door latch mounted with screws that could possibly work loose, the new one uses studs with nuts. There have been no physical changes that one could pick out though.

Webby3650 is dead on. The test labs were crazy busy last year with what are called "K" list changes. Pellet stove manufacturers and OWB guys were keeping them hopping as well.

Most manufacturers started designing new, cleaner burning products 5 years ago when the new NSPS review began. Now that the standards are published, manufacturers know the precise numbers they must achieve.

If they waited until now, it will be very costly and a mad rush to get products ready for the future.

I have a confession to make. I've started using the ash pan! I had a kid get really sick with a cough and to minimize dust in the house I carefully used the ash pan. It helped a great deal. A bigger plug is a good move.

The bigger plug will make it faster to clean out for sure. But it was pretty quick with the right tool like it was, plus I didn't lose my big coals down the pit. I'll come around eventually.
