Looks "gimmicky" yet fun. I have some stumps and stuff that I could make into them for fun. Does it look like there's a verticle chimney and one horizontal air inlet? That seems super simple. Wonder how long it would take 1 cu ft of walnut (for example) to dry after you bore it out like needed.

Wonder how much I could charge for them at the local gas station ;)
 
They're kind of fun. I've made small ones from 4"-6" pine and they do work. They look neat at night when they're just about to burn through from the inside and the orange starts to show through the pine. Of course, the larger Swedish torch log (stump) is always a crowd pleasing option.
