Nope . . . I've got plenty more . . . and as Beer Belly said . . . every time I load up my stove and take from the stacks I figure that is less oil I'm paying for.

By November 15th we will have burned two cord (not face) of Pine I rescued from the floor of the woods, never been so happy about burning up the supply.

Hmm, I think I'm the opposite. I have rounds waiting to be split and stacked for 2014/15. I'll be starting a new stack, but the more I burn the less new stacks I have to build.

I have a solution for you. When you do your stacking, put all your lighter species, odd chunks & ugly stuff on top & bury the good stuff beneath it. You won't be able to burn through the junk fast enough!

Seeing the stack shrink means money in my pocket (tax free money by the way)
Also it means I have room to put more wood in the wood shed.
Which means I now have an empty row of pallets out back, that needs some wood to start seasoning.

Some of us are nuts & like cutting splitting & stacking wood.
Making room for more makes us smile LOL . Yea, we're nuts

What are you talking about, my butt is sore from sitting and splitting last night until dark. Wood getting is continuous and wood burning is about 9 months of the year. It's a flow.

Sean, you love it and you know it. Look at your signature. All those cool tools. My father and brother and I were talking the other day about putting in a new culvert on the family property. She , my wife, said she was jelous about us men. Being able to go back there and me using my tractor to dig a ditch with that hydraulic thingy, and put the culvert in. You men get to have all the fun. She said. I get to do the dishes. I did not say one word. I was not about to bite and then get into a conversation about her wanting to run my tractor. Not going to happen. I looked at my brother and father and we started talking about the weather.
