Brand new to this forum. I've searched for this same problem and haven't seen it posted. I have a brand 'new to me' CB1200i. It appears to have never been used as the interior is clean as a whistle. Wondering if I bought a piece of junk

The manual states that when you turn it on for the first time, it will run the blower for approximately 10+ mins. Ours runs for about 5 seconds and turns off and then a minute or so goes by before it does the same thing again. A local pellet stove tech had me jump the thermostat controls and the call light comes on, but I still get the cycling blower motor. 5 seconds on and before it turns off. It repeats this until I unplug it.

Also, if anyone has the proper settings for the Thermostat that comes with it, please share (Labelled with Quadra Fire logo but is actually a Honeywell FocusPRO 5000 series)

Completely stumped!

EDIT: Ive tested both #1 and #2 snap disks by jumping them, and there's no change. I will test #3 tonight when I am able to pull the insert out

If this is a new stove, I would suggest you contact the place you bought it from and have them come out and fix it under warranty. Although, "new to me" makes me think you bought it used. There is couple things you might try. I am wondering if during shipping and installation the control board is no longer seated correctly and upon start up the vibration from the fan is causing the board to move enough to shut it down. Unplug the stove and reseat the board. Also, as soon as the stove is plugged in the exhaust fan should turn on and run for 10 to 15 mins regardless if the stove is calling for heat or not . If this is not happening I suspect a bad control board. You could also pull the fan and test it while not in the stove. The thermostat on this stove is nothing more than a two wire on/off switch. So if you put the jumper in at the stove you have made it so the stove is calling for heat. While troubleshooting, I would leave that jumper on so you know it is calling for heat.

You are correct, I bought it used but do not think it was ever run as there's no signs whatsoever of use. Before I had completed installation, I had plugged it in and the 10+ minute blower run began. But by the time I got it fully installed, it started the 5 second cycling blower that I mentioned in my original post.

Thanks for your comment, I'll be working on it tonight

Unplug the stove for a min then plug back in, the combustion blower (not the room/convection blower) should run for about 12 minutes. Also do any lights in the control box illuminate when plugged in.

There are places that will fix the controller, if it is having a problem. Do you have a voltmeter to check the voltage of the power going in. The plug you are using is it good ?

The blue light comes on and then goes off...the blower runs for about 5 seconds and then turns off...30 seconds or so will pass and then the process starts over.

I am in the process of pulling the stove out to get access to the control box so I can make sure it's well seated.

I havent tested the plug, but it's brand new. I'll throw it on my multimeter and give it a shot. Also, the very first couple of times I plugged the stove in, before I had it full set up, it powered up fine and the 12 minute blower ran just like it's supposed to. When I got it all piped in and pushed it back into place, that's when the intermittent cycling started.

Update. I reseated the control box and tested the power supply. Power supply is good. Unit powers up and blue light stays on but does not complete the 13 minute blower run. Just as before. The control clicks, the blower runs for 5 seconds and then turns off and repeats

Ok unplug the stove and pull the control box back out and follow the video. Just to make sure it is set up correctly

You saved my bacon! Thank you. The setting on the board was wrong. I didn’t have any literature on the board so this video was a lifesaver! Thank you. Now to get it all buttoned up. Thanks everyone
