I'm a newbie to wood stoves and to this forum. I had my first break-in fire for my new Clydesdale last night. It was great! Being new and paranoid, I contacted Hearthstone about the break-in process. I was told that, despite what the manual says, you should do three break-in fires, each progressively hotter. At that point, let it rip! Thought I would pass that news along for folks.
