I want to build sides on my Wood hauler. Any tips or plans on how to get started? Thanks! [Hearth.com] Building Wood sides for truck, help needed.

Only tip I have is cover that back window.

i would if its in the budget go for a steel frame with wire mesh inserts and a swing out tailgate . also make it as a bolt on thing , last you many years then if you change the truck over easy to modify it to the new one . ps shes a nice looking unit would love a truk like that .

Are there stake pockets? Give us a picture from the top looking down into the sides.

Easiest is to
Drop some stakes in the stake pockets & screw on some 1 X 4s.
A piece of plywood to protect the cab & rear window .

Easy in & out, you can only use them when you need them.

Mine work great. Strong enough since it only has to hold the upper half of the load.
