Went to see my new Pacific insert at the dealer. Looks like a nice unit, the only odd this I saw was the white insulation material around the front end of the baffle. Does that get covered by the fire bricks or should I not be able to see that at all and it needs to be realigned? Its look exactly the same on both sides. Didnt have my camera so no pics yet. Any help would be great!

The insulation is supposed to be there...both sides between the baffle and the rails it sits on.

thanks, I thought so but wanted to be sure.

Gunner's right. The stuff is pretty durable too - pulled my baffle out and it stayed in good shape. You are going to be VERY happy next winter!!

I hope so because I wasnt this winter!
