Can I cook on top of my Blaze King-King?

I did a search and didn't come up with anything.

I will be putting a King in my shop (get-a-way). Can I cook on top of it? Use a cast iron skillet?

I've only had inserts before...

Just a Joe Schmo answer, but I'd say yes. Our stove dealer in town that I've been talking to has said that you can. I'd be careful of cooking oil or food splashes. I would think a stove could get nasty quick with cooking spills.
