chimney Tee snout to short what do i do

Once the new thimble will be installed my chimney Tee snout will be to short what do I do?

Can I leave it the way it is and attach the black pipe inside the thimble?

Or should i buy a 22 inches Tee snout and cut it to the right size?

All you thoughts on this are appreciated

You can run steel connector pipe into the tee.
I would use 22 gauge at a minimum.
Others may chime in now...

I just want to make sure I order all the right parts at once

Order a section of welded seam 22 ga. connector pipe, longer than you need. Once the snout & stove are in place, you will be able to get an accurate measurement to cut the connector length.

You can use a short piece of rigid pipe, that will slide into the snout. There is no reason to buy a longer snout, just add an extension on it. Also there is a part call a "slip connector", it telescopes inside the snout.

24 gauge stainless will be fine, that's what your snout is anyway.
