We have a 2017 pdvc Englander Pellet Stove. Brand new freshly installed as of September 2018. This fall we cleaned out the whole thing to get it ready for winter use. And it worked fine until 2 weeks ago. It had an issue with shutting off, and the convection blower not working. Trimming the frayed end of the vacuum shutdown switch hose that seems to have fixed the shutting down. But the convection blower is of course still an issue. We have all fresh gaskets and cleaned system. But can not figure out what the problem is. We don't want to just spend the money and replace the blower straight away. Any ideas on what we can try?

If it is new call england stove works customer service and tell them they will probably send you a blower

In the back of the stove on the side the control board is, there should be a set of wires that come off the middle area of the board (high temp cloth covered) that go down towards the bottom of the stove make sure the connection to the stove is not loose. Try turning the convection blower with you fingers and if it turns smoothly and easy.

If not resolved, I'd give them a call anyways, but hold time can be a factor or I've gotten good results via email.. you never know , it may be worth a try...

Why do I think the bearings on the combustion motor are dry?

We checked the connection and it's tight. We did a diagnostic test on it and the convection blower works during that though.

Thank you, we checked and blower moves fine and has a tight connection. We did a diagnostic test on it and the convection blower works during that though.

ok sad truth is they use a different circuits to test the motors in diag mode. so diag could work and the main circuit does not. is it on a surge protector? it could have taken a power surge and it sound like a control board issue. they should do away with the diag circuit in them boards they are decieving.
