I think I may have overfilled the Pullman pans! I’m getting potato bread curly q’s!

I really like the Pullman pans for sandwich bread. The bread is compacted a bit from the lid giving a denser loaf that doesn’t fall apart as easily as the lid free loafs of yeast bread I make. It’s also a uniform size that makes sandwiches a bit more normal.

Came out darker and less yellow than I thought it would. Maybe that’s the pop corn being used or maybe it’s all the bran, etc from the wheat berries. It’s really sweet though! It passed the discerning test from the teenager, without added butter.

Should be interesting once we get to the new popcorn. The bread might be purple!
Cool wet day here - no AC required. Fresh bread right out of the oven.

Nice! I haven’t been cooking much lately. I’ve been so busy with work, when I get home I crawl into bed and go to sleep! That looks great!

I had one of those days on Friday. I was putting a gazebo together (by myself) and was gunning to get the roof on before a rainy Saturday. That was one of the few days I basically skipped breakfast and didn't have time to drink beer. Had to work in showers but got it done.

That’ll be a nice place to cookout and spend evenings when it’s warm! I think you have a few warm evenings in August!

The latch on my cheapie grain mill started to malfunction. I’m pretty sure I could adjust it and get it working correctly again, but I really want to upgrade. Its small size is annoying. I can only grind 1 cup of wheat berries at once. When cooking multiple loaves it’s a pain. But, I didn’t know if I’d like grinding berries when I started. I didn’t want to drop anything more than play money on it.

Now that I’m hooked I’ll drop a little more. I have a reasonable idea of the capacity I need. 4-6 cups of berries handles my biggest projects.

I found the Nutrimill Impact will hold 8 cups of flour. Lehman’s just got my order. I’ll review it better once I have time to abuse it some, lol.

I bit the bullet. I got largest single phase griddle (240v) I could find. Time to add a new 240v receptacle to the kitchen and figure out an exist hood. This thing weighs about 80-100 pounds. 4.5kw

Can’t wait to get cooking!!! I needs it’s a new counter with hood.

I just bought one of these for my wife, she's big into the home milling and baking bread. She likes it so far! We were running with a cheap attachment for the Kitchen Aid and while it's great for the pasta attachments, not so much for the grain milling. Doing the break in mill with the rice - WOW the difference was extraordinary!

It grinds much finer than my old one! Quieter too! I’m hoping I can abuse it for years!

Good investment when you need to feed a small army

I had some sort of grinder from India at one time. I wanted to make almond butter. I guess they grind up stuff all the time over there to make flatbread. I'm not sure what happened to it. We moved a few times and started unloading stuff.

That reminds me of my Saffire smoker...redishhttps://saffiregrills.com/product/xl-platinum-grill/?_gl=1*1n6ln6u*_up*MQ..*_ga*NDcxOTIyMjg5LjE3ODc1MTM0Njk.*_ga_GBVQ0D1PHR*czE3ODc1MTM0NjgkbzEkZzEkdDE3ODc1MTM0ODMkajQ1JGwwJGg1MTQyODMwNTM.
Mine is really old and got it used. The insides are broken and not quite right. I converted it to electric for long term cooking.
