Question:

I am looking for a corner fireplace that will be built into a structural wall. The catch is that it will have a masonry veneer that must be supported. Most of the corner units I've seen can't support any weight over the opening. Rather than having to engineer a special post/flange gee-gaw- I was hoping you might know of a ready unit.

Answer:

I don't know of any pre-fabs or heat forms that can support the brick with out a post and lintels. If anyone would have such a thing - it would be either Superior Fireplace Heatilator You should be able to find local distributors of these brands. Sounds like you are looking for a "heat -form" which is a steel box to build masonry around- rather that a whole pre-fab fireplace and chimney
